The motion detection options allow you to record only when motion is detected to save hard drive space without missing important events. The installed 1TB hard drive can capture and store motion detected recording footage for 2 weeks.

Flexible Operation
The DVR in the kit has a number of recording modes to suit your needs. You can program it to record at certain times, record continuously, or set it to start recording when motion is detected or using the alarm mode. It can also be used with different capacity hard drives and types of cameras, so you can build the perfect surveillance system for your particular requirements.
The DVR that Multi-Tasks
Thanks to Pentaplex, this DVR can perform up to five things at once. You can playback, backup, view live images and allow network access (e.g. for a Smartphone) while the DVR continues to record.
Instant Email Alerts if Activity Detected
This system is designed to send an email alert, complete with photo of the activity, if any motion is detected, or if any camera experiences video loss.

View from a TV or PC monitor

16 camera system Review by Frank
Select Rating I had been researching surveillance systems for 2 weeks before purchasing this model. Setup of the system was very easy, obviously where you decide to install the the cameras can make the install more difficult. It took a couple of hours once the system was networked to get it on my PCs and on our iPhones. Its great being able to check on the property from anywhere. The cameras have made it through a couple of severe windstorms and haven't moved at all. I'd recommend installing them under eves when possible. The system has been running for two months with no issues at all. (Posted on 11/23/12)

I have four camaras inside and eight outside. It covers everything. It saw a intruder in my neighbors yard so I could play it back tfor the polics. Worth every penny.
