Description of Basic Functionality
Auto Iris
Auto Iris Lenses have built in motors to control the amount of light that reaches the imaging sensor. Auto Iris lenses are generally used in outdoor applications where lighting levels are not consistent, and or where shutter speed changes are not acceptable. DC Driven lenses are most common in the CCTV industry.
Auto White Balance
This is a function that influences representation by the camera all the colors, in reference to "white" color. In automatic mode, the reference point for white is the brightest point in the image.
Auto Back Light Compensation
Backlight compensation is video gain done either manually or automatically to correct the exposure of subjects that are in front of a bright light source.

Select Rating Easy to set up, basically just plug and play, and was transmitting video immediately. Had a minor issue with a tiny screw that is used to tighten the base to the camera. The unit shipped with a very small allen wrench and the only part of the camera I could imagine it was for was to loosen this screw. I was unable to get the allen wrench to loosen this screw so I contacted the seller who wrote back immediately stating to loosen that screw I needed to use a small jewelers screw driver and that it should not have come with the allen wrench. Using a small jewelers flat head I was easily able to loosen the screw and get the base onto the camera.automatically and camera has a very wide-field of view even in a small area. Still haven't tested in zero light conditions but from all indications this is such a good camera I ordered a second one already. (Posted on 7/4/12)

Select Rating I expected this camera to be kind of fuzzy and stuff. The picture probably isn't as clear as a more costly camera would be but, I could identify a trespasser that was about 80 feet from the camera. The picture wasn't clear but I got enough information that I figured out who the trespasser was. (Posted on 7/1/12)

Select Rating I purchased this camera to replace one that had died in my stores survellience system. I wasn't absolutely certain it would work but it did. My system is over 2 years old and this camera plugged right in and is working perfectly. In fact I just ordered another one for another spot in the store.
