The DVR-H9004UL-1TB is a 4 channel, fully integrated, real time, and embedded Linux operating system based standalone digital video recorder. This easy-to-use DVR and a 19" flat LCD monitor are combined nicely in one unit, making setup and operation easy! With the alarm input/output, Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) camera control, network access, USB2.0 backup, and built-in monitor, this DVR is the most convenient and cost effective solution to monitor your home and business.
The DVR uses the latest in compression technology, H.264, to be able to record amazing quality video without using up a large amount of storage space. The H.264 compression allows crisper, cleaner images to be recorded and still be capable of weeks of recording on motion detection mode. A variety of recording modes are supported by this DVR. These include scheduled recording, motion detected recording, continuous recording, or a combination of any modes.
In addition, this DVR supports Live View via Smart Phone & 3G Mobile with each of those systems below:

Fits my needs as I hoped at the price that fit my budget Review by M. Airey
Select Rating I was really excited to get this system for home security. It is very easy to install - my teenage son and I did it ourselves. The cameras have sixty foot cords, which was more than I had hoped for. We were able to install them in a variety of places on our property. The coaching iMenu was a very helpful tool in assisting us about the different settings and features. With over 700 hours of recorded footage, I won't have to worry about changing discs and whatnot everyday, which is very convenient with our busy schedules. The picture clarity was very good. Seeing deer eat out of my bird feeders was unexpected but enlightening. I'm very happy with this system. Excellent product. (Posted on 7/3/12)

Does what it should for the price Review by yellly
Select Rating Modern user interface,Smartphone support for remote viewing all channels at once,System time can sync with NTP.Smartphone isn't live viewing, as in second-by-second updated.Recording audio might be illegal in my state. I don't know.. so I don't do it.
Overall.. this DVR does what it should do. Boss can view cameras on android smartphone. Web interface works great with IE and some firefox/chrome options. I'm happy with it, after 24 hours. I'll watch when the hard drive first fills up. And as always, when setting up, re-format the hard drive, just to be sure and safe! (Posted on 7/1/12) -
